My name is D. Price.  I was born and raised in the Eastern part of Wake County, in Wendell, North Carolina. In 1986 while still in High School, I worked as an apprentice at Carolina Fur Dressing, which is a commercial tannery for taxidermist nation-wide in Raleigh, North Carolina.  After graduating from East Wake High School in the spring of 1987, I began working full-time with the tannery as a shaver.  I began experimenting with taxidermy as a hobby in 1988.  I began mounting my own trophies and those of my friends.   I became a licensed taxidermist by the state of North Carolina in 1993.  I have attended taxidermy workshops at Piedmont Community college in Roxboro, North Carolina and Surry Community College in Dobson, North Carolina throughout my career. Learning the latest techniques and skills in this ever changing industry.  I left Carolina Fur Dressing in 1998 and started a full-time taxidermy shop, where I specialize in whitetail deer and small mammals. I acquired my federal taxidermy licenses in 2000 which allows me to mount migratory birds.

Thank you for visiting our web site and I look forward to mounting your trophy.
